Daahuk is a for-profit co operative-based research and project management entity working in climate-vulnerable rural areas of Bangladesh, where it conducts field-based research, designs and manages development projects, builds climate-resilient livelihoods, supports community cooperatives, promotes sustainable community-owned business initiatives.

The organisation establishes environmental and trade-management ecosystems; operating through a community-inclusive co-operative based model that ensures local ownership and economic benefit, Daahuk also provides training, empowers communities, aids disaster response, and has been recognized for its impact, including winning the PMI South Asia “Project of the Year – Community” Award in 2023.

Daahuk operates through a strong group of research advisors and volunteers who follow key schools of thoughts such as Development For Profit, Integrated Social Capital, and Regional Alignment Movement; partnering with government bodies, Daahuk designs and manages development initiatives, strengthens cooperatives and local trade groups. The organisation’s journey is more of a movement rather than only development practices.
