Summary
The Regional Sports Facilitation Initiative For Peace & Solidarity, launched in September 2024 and ongoing, is a consortium-led effort by Daahuk and Decathlon Sports Bangladesh. It distributes sports equipment to children and underprivileged communities in disaster-prone areas of Bangladesh, empowering youth through sports as a tool for development, inclusion, and resilience. By fostering unity and lifelong wellbeing, the initiative promotes peace and solidarity, ensuring every child thrives regardless of circumstances. Aligned with Daahuk’s work model of community-centric implementation and fund advocacy, it builds on sister initiatives like Tufaan Sports Facilitation, which engages youth nationwide, supports local artisans, and strengthens community bonds through fitness and teamwork. This multi-stakeholder approach drives sustainable social impact, enhancing inter-community cooperation in vulnerable regions like Tanguar Haor and beyond.
